Conversation with a Squad

The squad is a group of mechanical squids that are eager to engage in a conversation with humans, using bioluminescence as a beautiful and intriguing visual language. In front of them lies the Mother Squid, a human to squid translator.
They swim smoothly through the breeze, perched next to each other. During the day, they appear quite discreet, almost dust-like, slowly moving their motorized fins and tentacles according to the wind speed. At night their inner bodies start to glow and emit small particles of light, which make the group look like a shiny constellation of friendly aliens.
When you get closer to the Mother Squid, you notice it has controls and buttons behind its body. It is a translating device, you can send lighting signals and start talking with them. They answer you by moving their fins and emitting light and the Mother Squid translates back. Depending if you make the conversation enjoyable, they will emit either beautiful synchronized unique light patterns or flashing lightning patterns.
